Well, yes, and no.

In this sense, the live events are indeed the cornerstone of The 21 Convention, along with the corresponding event (and documentary) footage of insanely high quality.

However, I believe where most understandings of The 21 Convention fall short (unless you’ve been there live, or speak with the speakers/staff regularly), is in the belief that everything happens all at once.

While it may appear that way to the random visitor, the reality is, nothing could be further from the truth. People often ask how the events are of such a professional and well organized nature, and while there are a number of factors at play, a major one is that I and other staff have spent that last 12-14 months planning the live event, or the past 3, 4, 5, or even 6 working on a production launch like The Community Tapes.

The ‘magic’ is literally in the effort, and the effectiveness there of (in my opinion, fueled by the passion of everyone involved).

With all that said, the point is, The 21 Convention is not random spurts of activity, but an ongoing movement and effort by a growing number of individuals – people like you, taking the time to read this very post, and in the process, gain an understanding of the framework and infrastructure behind the event.

Which I think, is why this movement has been so successful. If excellence is a habit and not a single action, this convention and everything related is the epitome of this idea, with regards to it’s age and consistency in quality, ideas, and nature.

In any case, as the title suggests, NOW is a better time than ever to watch (review?) convention footage, and spread the word about The 21 Convention: The #1 Men’s Convention on the Planet.

This is primarily due to the installation of a new video hosting service and player that perfectly suits our footage, event and documentary alike.

It supports 2007, 2008, 2009, and Volume 1 of The Community Tapes perfectly – including the HD versions of the videos.

Best of all, it will support the coming 2010 footage (there’s a TON) like no other player can within our budget. It even allows you to skip around the footage like a YouTube video – rather than having to wait for a 2 hour video to load before being able to skip around it.

Better yet, if we can rack up enough views, I *believe* (don’t quote me on this yet) they will enable Itunes for the convention account, which would be a very easy way for us to distribute footage for download, and perhaps even audio at a low cost. I know a few of you have mentioned wanting to do this for Ipod and car use, I have not forgotten about it, and this would be an awesome way to accomplish it.

Finally, the new player allows for a few extra options that I will be announcing later – options that allow select users the ability to add special comments and links to the video itself, rather than on the site via WordPress. This means those interested in enhancing the videos by topics, chapters, and links to specifics websites can do so once approved for such action – on all of our footage. I’ll be keeping this limited to only a handful or two of people, so if you want in, just stay tuned.

…

OK, enough yapping already. The reason I mention this now is that this new convention video account is in a bit of a trial stage, and we need as many views as possible right now to ensure all of the above features. We’re right at the minimum number of views required for a premium account like this, and truth be told, I don’t expect the videos to pick up steam on their own until 2010 footage begins releasing, or, per this post, people like you review your favorite speeches and doucmentary interviews, and share them with friends.

The best thing you can do is grab a direct link to your favorite video, and send it to a friend.

“Dude, watch this. Seriously, sit down and watch this video, it could change your life.”

Facebook, e-mail, whatever. It’s really that simple, and powerful.

The second best thing you could do is share it on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites (like StumbleUpon), or better yet, write about a specific video on your own blog or website.

…

Okay so videos need to be viewed more than usual right now. Got it. What about this California thing?

Simply put, Peter Murphy and I are heading to LA for “Pua Summit” (September 25th-26th). I am flying out September 15th to spend some time in the area – probably staying in California through the first week in October (contact me if your couch is open, otherwise it’s Couchsurfing.com and hostels for me). Peter will be there closer to the event, and leaving right after it ends.

With that said, I encourage everyone that has the ability to attend, to do so. As most of you know, I had the chance to meet one of the founders in Stockholm at The 21 Convention.

I didn’t know what to expect, but I admit, I was pleasantly surprised. Vince Kelvin is a really cool, friendly, energetic guy, and I look forward to attending his event in California this month.

Is Pua Summit the same as The 21 Convention? No, not from what I can tell. They are separate events, with different focuses and topics discussed. Do some overlap? Certainly. But in the end, they are different events, at opposite ends of the country (or the world if you count Europe).

All that stated, again, I fully endorse this event – obviously Peter and I are going to it – and if you have the chance to attend on those dates, do it! The cost right now is $129. That price alone is worth seeing any ONE of the speakers in person like Dj Fuji, Adam Lyons, Erika Awakening, Jared Dwyer, and a bunch more.

In addition, as a fan of The 21 Convention, I will have a DVD copy of The Community Tapes ($30 value + shipping costs), sent free to the first 5 individuals who sign up through The 21 Convention.

Live events and corresponding footage feature thought leaders that, comprehensively, detail what it is, and how to be a successful man and leader in the 21st century. Speakers include but are not limited to world renowned medical doctors, bestselling authors, exercise physiologists, and dating coaches that make ‘Hitch’ look like the politically correct fairy tale that he is.

Our speakers have collectively been featured in over 75 major media outlets, worldwide. I myself, as founder, president and CEO of The 21 Convention, have been featured in local Orlando television (where the movement began), The New York Times #1 best seller The Four Hour Work Week, and most recently, the United Kingdom’s largest woman’s magazine Fabulous – with a reported 4.8 million readers.

I and other members of The 21 Convention are now looking to expand the event to an entirely new level, with twin 2011 events approaching in Orlando, Florida and London, England – poised to attract hundreds of young men from around the world.

If your organization is interested in reaching an emerging audience of the best and brightest young men from around the globe, this is your unique opportunity to do so as a sponsor of The 21 Convention.

After getting about 4 hours of sleep per night during the convention for 4 nights in a row and learning a ton of useful information during the waking hours, your brain starts to lose functionality until adequate sleep is restored.

Here is my experience with the convention.

I decided to go into the convention with an open mind. As one of the best PUA’s in my area and an existing dating coach it was at first difficult to put my ego aside and really open up my mind to what the speakers suggested, although after hearing a few speeches I really respected everyone for the journeys they have been on and taking the time to share their experiences and advice with everyone and the amount of useful information I learned exceeded my expectations.

Right Hand Man spoke about the top 10 mistakes to avoid in your 20′s and they made a lot of sense and sounded like a lot of the lessons my parents TRIED to teach me that I never actually absorbed. RHM had incredible advice for everyone and I was really glad we got the opportunity to hear what he had to say.

Orlando Owen had a lot of really good things to say also, particularly on how to be a man and I think a lot of attendees benefited from it. Although I already have core confidence, his advice was the first to teach me to treat the women I sleep with respectfully rather than disrespectfully. Orlando helped me realize that I should be WANTING to see women after I sleep with them because that’s how a real man is supposed to act. I spoke with him 1-on-1 at dinner about the history of some of the famous (or infamous) community figures and he had a lot really good info on how they ACTUALLY are in person. For example he said some of the best PUA’s he knows are Neil Strauss and David DeAngelo and he said that those guys could run circles around some of today’s top PUA’s. He also acknowledged that there were others better than him at the actual picking up part, however I could tell that when it comes to seducing he was an absolute expert. He was very friendly in person and and hanging out with him at dinner was a real privilege.

Mark Sisson had a lot of great information on how to get in great shape, and he was in incredible shape himself so whatever he has been doing MUST be working. I learned that 80% of body composition is how a person eats and that eating vegetables is a great source of antioxidants and carbs while grains are pretty useless, which makes a lot of sense since grains by themselves don’t taste like anything, which proves that they were useless for humans over evolution as our taste was developing. He offered really good information on particular work-outs and explained to us the benefits of taking the supplement omega-3 fish oil. He offered really good personal advice on exercise and I am going to try to include things like natural work-outs and sprints into my exercise routine.

Dj Fuji is one of the speakers I learned the most from. With the combination of my level of success and lack of a good mentor it is difficult for me to absorb new advice, however Dj Fuji’s advice included things that will certainly going to help me reach the NEXT LEVEL of my game. One of the most important things I learned from him was to “err on the side of action instead of inaction” whenever given the choice. I sometimes waste time on message boards and come up with excuses not to be approaching and rather than wasting my time with such activities I ought to be getting out of my apartment more and spending time with more women without justifying excuses not to. Dj Fuji taught me that although currently sleep with women pretty regularly, I COULD be sleeping with MORE women and HIGHER QUALITY women if I increase the amount of women I’m meeting and be more active. He also helped me realize that worrying about my social reputation could be holding me back from my full potential. For example, if regular attendees of a nightclub think I’m creepy for having the confidence to approach women I find attractive more often, then what they think has NOTHING to do with the success I’ll be having.

El Topo spoke after and it was the first time I’ve ever seen or heard from him. He is REALLY funny and also FRIENDLY which are two characteristics some of the other “gurus” seemed to be lacking. He stayed throughout the majority of the convention just meeting the attendees and offering everyone free advice, which was REALLY respectable compared to most of the speakers who attended ONLY for their own speeches and then left. El Topo even offered to stop by my Lair to do a free lair talk which showed me that he’s a really GENUINE guy who really enjoys the company of others and helping. That kind of authenticity is rarely come across in the community. His style of game was also very authentic as it involved a way of showing a woman who you truly are and forming a real connection. Another thing I learned from his speech was actually his kino demonstration. I went out and field tested it at night and the girl I applied it on was SUPER receptive and I could tell it was making her a little nervous but also much more attracted to me and I ended up getting her number and kissing her by the end of the night. Would have gone for the same night lay if I didn’t have to wake up 4 hours later to see other speakers.

Adam Lyons has been one of my idols for the past two years for several reasons; firstly because he was once a nightclub promoter as I am now, so I can relate to him in that manner, and also because he teaches to get involved with social groups and meet women naturally through friends, which is what a lot of “naturals” have been doing for years. He also endorses making friends with women and over the years I have probably learned more about myself from my female friends than any male dating coach. What I learned most from Adam Lyons at The 21 Convention were actually things from meeting him IN PERSON and experiencing his personality first hand. When I met him the first time he was very friendly, greeted me with a smile, and actually knew my name already from previously exchanging facebook messages and comments so that was pretty cool. He introduced me to his wife also and I could tell he has great social skills. One thing I learned when we were walking to dinner together is that Adam is VERY good by himself and never had to depend anyone else to generate success. I could tell that his success has come from a lot of hard work he has done himself such as dozens of cold approaches followed by successes. As a college student and nightclub promoter involved in a very social world I sometimes tone down my game for the sake of reputation or expecting my guy friends to also contribute to my parties, and Adam seemed like all the success he has had over the years was generated BY HIMSELF and he didn’t have to rely on others for support so that motivated me to step up my game and start putting in a lot more effort, which in turn should yield more success.

Doug McGuff and Drew Baye had really awesome nutrition and exercise advice. Doug had a lot of valuable information about what happens to types of foods when you eat them and the biology behind WHY everything Mark Sisson said was correct. Drew had a lot of good information on intensity training and explained to me in person the importance of pushing every set to the MAX rather than just half-assing sets in order to complete the workout. I am really looking forward to “field testing” his exercise advice in the gym.

Erika Awakening had a really interesting speech. She explained how SHE FELT when a guy who “picked her up” a few weeks before did certain things that we are taught in the seduction community, such as eye contact, approaching, and isolating and her description seemed magical. I’ve never really been into showing any woman a “spiritual” experience, however the way Erika described how she felt motivated me to WANT the women I sleep with to have those feelings, and even motivated ME to want to feel those feelings. I’ve always been kind of disconnected with the women I sleep with even though I’m able to charm them into bed, and Erika gave me motivation to go out and take a woman through an amazing experience. She also gave me hope that there ARE attractive and successful women out there who want a MAN to take care of them rather than just boost their self esteem, which I see a lot of in college. She got a standing ovation and it was well-deserved. Erika was another speaker who stayed at the convention for parts other than just her speech and was VERY approachable and friendly in person.

Bill DeSimone had awesome advice on proper workout form to avoid injury and basically gave a lesson on the biomechanics of human joints and muscles, which made PERFECT sense to me, especially as a mechanical engineering student with a background in mechanical systems. He was very friendly in person and answered a lot of my personal questions about specific exercises and I learned how to improve my form of certain work-outs to get the best workout and avoid injury. I actually learned that I’ve been doing two workouts wrong for a while and I’m glad he cleared things up because it could prevent a lot of injury in the future.

Johnny Manwhore explained the difference between “guru style” and “closing style” of game, which made a lot of sense. He was hilarious and gave me a few really good ideas how to continue when women seem resistant. I also really liked his explanation of “Immersion” that nothing else in the background matters matters when you are with the women you are talking to besides your interaction. He also explained to not be shaken by women who “text” you because it is her job to test you sometimes to see if you are man enough to handle tough situations. At the end of his speech he gave some really good advice on how to handle sexual situations also.

Ratisse was kind enough to take questions throughout his entire speech and had great answers for each of them in detail. He actually brought me on stage at one point to demonstrate to the audience how to touch a woman comfortably and seductively. I was fortunate enough to actually hang out with Ratisse the night before and meet women together at a local bar and I was very impressed with his skills and success in the field. Anyone can stand on a stage and teach men a theory on how to effectively meet women, however Ratisse was able to demonstrate it successfully in real life and I have a lot of respect for that. We actually hung out again a week later in downtown Orlando and both ended up meeting women at the bar and eventually bringing them back to our hotels for some after hours activities.

Psych had a really effective style of game and also a really good presentation. He got the crowd involved by asking us to practice openers on each other in order to surface weaknesses which was pretty fun and taught EVERYONE a thing or two about our approaches that we can improve on. He also emphasized the importance of PRACTICE and that while we’re not approaching, other guys ARE and when we meet them they will win, SO it is important to do a lot of approaching and be IN FIELD a lot, and that IN FIELD is not the same thing as just going out and calling that sarge time. He also spoke about how LEADING is what separates the advanced guys from the intermediate guys, so from now on when a set is going really good for me I’ll try to take it to the next level more often rather than sometimes settling for a number or a kiss and calling it a night. A lot of his teachings are based on proven psychology, which I REALLY respect because a lot of MY game and what I teach is also derived from psychological principles of social influence and attraction. He also received and definitely deserved a standing ovation. Later I had the opportunity to meet some of Psych’s students who all attested that he was effective demonstrating his skills in the field and one night they observed him meet, attract, kiss, and make out with an attractive woman within 10 minutes of meeting her just as a simple demonstration which is very impressive and proves that what he teaches definitely works in field.

The convention was an AWESOME experience and I have a world of respect for Dream for organizing everything and handling every unexpected situation that came up. All the attendees I met were incredibly friendly, social, and seemed like they actually didn’t need much help meeting girls. Their personalities were all awesome, especially those from the TOPLair.

Sincerely,

Anthony,

I sincerely appreciate the invitation to talk this year at the convention. It was an honor to give a speech and add value to the lives of the attendees while getting much out of the convention for myself.

I really appreciate the work that you put into this convention. It is the only convention that I like because you really do it from your heart and to give back. Other conventions are just money making schemes and scheming people is a big part of this community but something I despise. I can feel your sincerity in all the work you do and I know that you will be successful in all your futue endeavors because of it.

Thank you once again and I hope to be able to speak (hopefully again with Al) next year either in London or Orlando if you have a spot for us.

Sincerely,

Hey Anthony!

Just wanted to shoot you a quick email to thank you for putting the convention together this year and having Tom and myself as guest speakers. We had a great experience and am glad we were able to mobilize a big part of the D.C. area to come to the convention. There were a lot of guys from d.c. who we had not personally met but were in contact with us over the year and came to convention to meet us for the first time even!

One of the highlights of the convention was the $50 dinner – The participants had a very positive experience. The guys who sat with me sought me out and had very specific questions prepared. I was able to address their particular issues and give them candid advice.

This was my 3rd time at the convention and as a huge supporter I will continue to support you whatever ventures you pursue in life. As a leader in the d.c. lair let me know if you’re ever in the area and need a place to stay or are interested in giving a talk.

Thank you,

-Al

From Anonymous

My Daytona trip got cancelled (lame), so thanks to Dream, I ended up at The 21 Convention. I am very glad I did. There were lots of good speakers and I’m going to list my favorites and a general gist of what they spoke about.

Adam Lyons- Easily the most polished and interesting speaker. I would highly recommend watching his speeches. He talked about the personality types that girls are attracted to and why that is.

El Topo- Funniest speaker and definitely kept everyone engaged. His speech was very similar to his lair talk. He contrasted community talk with real life natural attraction. He said that you should make a connection with a girl and it should be an experience, not just another one to tally on your list. Also, talked about customizing your routines to yourself and the basics of body language.

Jonny M (Manwhore)- Talked about being bold, taking action with girls, and not being afraid to do or try anything. Excellent speech. It takes a lot of inner confidence to pull off the techniques he mentioned though.

Psych- Told some stories and talked about how much conflicting advice there is in the community. He pointed out that you can really get stuck reading theories and not get anywhere.

Dj Fuji- Talked about stereotypes and how you don’t have to let them own you. He mentioned how important hard work and practicing skills is. A big part of his speech was about taking risks and how girls will like you for just taking those risks even if you fail.

Mark Sisson- Nutrition guy. One of the best speeches of the convention. Not much to explain here, but read his stuff.

Doug McGuff- Talked about evolution, fitness, and Mark Sisson’s diet. He was an MD and got very technical into the biochemistry. I think it went over a lot of guys heads, but I loved it.

These are my favorite speakers of the convention in about this order. I missed thursday so I can’t comment on those speakers. There were other decent speeches, but these struck me as the most powerful and ones I could apply to my life.

Exceedingly few people are aware of this, but every year leading up to and directly after The 21 Convention, there is a lot going on in my personal life. Obviously the time surrounding the convention – be it in North America or Europe – is absolutely critical and highly important to me. I love this convention like nothing else, and the time near the live events is especially exciting and event filled.

That said, no matter how highly I value my time and organize it into the most effective way possible for the live events, anything else absorbing my time and mental attention during that “crunch period” is a distraction, unless it is absolutely necessary, or used a means to relax, unwind, and recharge my mind.

While there is more to my life than this convention, I do see the bulk of my personal life during these particular times, as a distraction, and cuts can, have, and will continue to be made for those time periods.

By the same token, I have not been able to focus myself to the degree I am capable of and desire throughout the course of the past five 21 Convention’s, in a year round sense.

This was primarily due to my academic enrollment at the University of Central Florida, which as you may have guessed, ate up a significant amount of my time and mental attention.

Well, while I don’t have too much left to go, I am taking a year off.

And yep, you guessed it, I have taken significant heat from my friends and family for this.

I simply can’t devote another second of my time or ounce of mental effort to something that would take away from The 21 Convention during such a critical growth period. Not one second, not one ounce. This convention is something I deeply believe in because I have come to believe in myself, and the individuals that have chosen to get involved with The 21 Convention, and as such, I find sticking pencils in my eyes more appealing than staying in school at this very moment.

This convention is meant to reach it’s peak potential, and the time has come to free myself and make that happen.

As a direct result of this freedom, this will be the first year The 21 Convention has the full, undivided attention I have desired to devote to it since the very beginning.

Which admittedly, is a bit scary for me personally. I will now have the opportunity to test myself, the beliefs I hold behind, and the dreams I have for, The 21 Convention.

I have sold most of what I own, and the rest is either with friends, family, or unfortunately stolen. In any case, I have cut my living expenses down to almost nothing, and will spend the year backpacking non stop (I will be sharing further trip details on my blog) – although obviously, part of that time will be spent in Europe to promote the convention being held there next June in London.

What does this mean for you as a fan, attendee, or speaker?

It means the quality of this entire convention is about to improve, dramatically, at it’s core. Be it the website you are now viewing, the news letter soon to begin, the community forum, the immense amount of free video content, the documentary series, and not even but especially the live events being held in London and Orlando this year.

I will now have the time to do the things I have always wanted to, yet not been able to due to the life circumstances I have chosen to put myself in up to this point in time.

Hence, I am calling this coming year the year of The 21 Convention. The first year, I, as the founder, am totally 100% free and independent to further push this convention in the direction of it’s peak potential.

Like I said, a bit scary, but exciting as hell =).

Two live events, four days each, thousands of miles apart, bonus events and dinners, a documentary series to continue, and nearly 50 hours of high definition footage to release free to the world – it’s going to be a busy year.

Not to mention, I am shooting for the stars this year at BOTH events in terms of the speaking line ups. This is the number one men’s convention in the world, and while the speakers have consistently come to reflect that better and better at each event, it’s time that reflection was crystal f**king clear.

As far as I am concerned, no speaker is off limits. While I have my own speakers in mind, if you can name them, I will contact them and do my absolute best to get them to the event should I choose to have them, regardless of how much money they are worth, or how “impossibly” hard they are to contact – I will find a way.

To suggest a speaker – and remember, no one is off limits – contact Info@The21Convention.com.

Stay tuned, more to come … and by the way, big props to rising star of The 21 Convention and The Community Tapes, Dj Fuji, for being the first speaker to confirm for both 2011 events on his blog.

Top to bottom, beginning to end … this was the most epic convention I’ve ever been fortunate enough to host. More quantity and quality than ever before.

From the bonus events, speeches, speakers, and attendees – everything and everyone was simply AWESOME. Like I said at the opening of the event, those of you who make it out are the true leaders of our day, whether you know it or not.

Speakers and attendees alike, you are the ones taking action, and making shit happen in a world that seems to face more and more inaction and mediocrity every single day – every day except those that include The 21 Convention =).

Speaking of the speakers… I haven’t told them this yet … but every single returning speaker was at the top of their game this convention (in my opinion).

I don’t know exactly what it was, but it was as if there was this positive energy just bouncing around during the convention.

I mean shit, there were STANDING OVATIONS left and right. I’ve NEVER seen so many before, at any event. And questions!

People are always timid and afraid to ask questions – not this year. On camera, you guys stood up and spoke your mind. And off camera? The poor speakers got swarmed. Hell Doug McGuff and Mark Sisson looked like they were in the middle of a mash pit!

Anyway, pictures say a thousand words, and I tend to ramble, so let’s keep things simple and get some pics going!

There are over 150 pictures on The 21 Convention official Facebook page and an additional 70 on Dj Fuji’s Facebook page.

Two of the last three (from Dj Fuji) are from a special “dinner with the speakers” we setup during the event as well. This was definitely one of the highlights of the whole event as over 40 of us ate dinner together that night in downtown Orlando.

If you missed it … well, you missed it. One hell of a time, that I for one, will never forget.

And how about some video?

Unfortunately assistant director of The 21 Convention Peter Murphy fell ill during the event and was unable to finish hosting the convention, but on the first and second day we were able to have him perform a few quick interviews with the speakers.

Watch them below and find out what the speakers have to say about The 21 Convention.

Please note, these were not filmed by the production company we contract out to and as such, the film quality does not reflect main event footage – nor have these videos been in any way edited or polished. Raw and uncut baby!

All in all, everyone that came had the time of their lives – myself included. From the pre convention meet and greet, the dinner with the speakers, the speeches, the standing ovations, the night life, and the one on one, face to face interaction … it was a weekend we will all, never forget.

And of course, we have the main event filmed in 720p high definition that will begin releasing free to the world Fall 2010.

In conjuction with The 21 Convention 2010 of Stockholm Sweden, it’s sure to make for THE most epic footage launch in the history of anything dedicated to helping men succeed … but even so, the event footage is only a small part of the main experience.

If you were there live you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about. For those of you who weren’t, I expect to see you in 2011, in London, Orlando, or both!

Click Attend to find out more about both events. Please keep in mind, ticket prices rise as the events draw closer, AND, as tickets sell.

Meaning each ticket tier is at a cap of 10 tickets (except the final online tier), so if 10 of a particular ticket price sell before the set date, that price will cease to be available!

Less than a handful remain for the current Mega Early Bird price for Orlando (expiring August 10th), and not many more exist at the current price for London, despite it’s September 30th expiration date.

Have a 2010 ticket you didn’t use? E-mail us at Info(at)The21Convention to inquire about transferring your ticket to either 2011 live event.

See you next year guys, and thank you again to those of you who were able to make it out to Orlando this year. It was an honor to meet each and every one of you, and I look forward to hanging out again next summer.

It was three years ago today that The 21 Convention kicked off as an official live event in Orlando Florida. Ha, we could hardly get a conference room back then. Hotels thought I was joking at 18 years old trying to reserve a room for two days…

Fortunately a Holiday Inn on International Drive decided otherwise when I was willing to throw down my credit card for the room.

And here we are three years and four events later on the eve of the fifth 21 Convention, online tickets available for about another 8 hours.

So is this the last event to be held in Orlando?

Certainly not, but, next year will be for the forseeable future.

I’ve thought about this for quite some time actually, and while I love Orlando – it has been my home for over 4 years now – I think five years straight is plenty.

Four is probably enough as it is, but I would like to give people who have been following the event but not yet able to attend once last chance to visit this part of the world and experience what everyone has been talking about.

As such, 2011 will be the last time The 21 Convention is held in Orlando Florida. It will be heading for another major city in North America the year after that … which one, well, I think it’s best left a surprise .

In any case, if you have considered attending The 21 Convention in Orlando, 2011 will be your last chance. “Mega Early Bird” tickets went on sale last night. They are $150 until August 10th.

However, I am capping the number of sign ups for that price at 10. I simply can’t keep releasing tickets at that price as they just don’t track with hard event expenses, such as video production/room rental/staff/photography.

I chose 10 because the “mega early bird discount” for London moved 9 seats, so limiting Orlando to 10 for the same numerical price (150) seems fair to me.

Even so, 12 seats moved for Orlando 2010 in July of 2009. As such, if you are 100% committed to attending our last event in Orlando, and want to attend for the absolute lowest price possible, I recommend signing up asap.

It’s far off, but is the best option for those who know they are attending 2011, and it helps the convention by allowing me to better track attendance statistics and plan the budget accordingly.

After 10 seats are filled the price is $195. Save $45 today and sign up for The 21 Convention 2011 (North America).

I should also mention, The Community Tapes are now available on DVD, and will be available at the event this year. Find out more by clicking the box art below.

Man … if you had told me in the very beginning, that I would one day be announcing The 21 Convention 2011, I simply would not have known how to respond.

To think that something so raw, so out of the blue, would continue for five years straight – man that would be phenomenal in it’s own right.

But then to tag on that it would be The 21 Convention 2011 of London … WHAT!?

And obviously, it doesn’t end there, as T21C London will be our second convention in Europe.

Where do I even begin?

Suppose I’ll begin by saying that my original announcement date for London was after T21C 2010 of Orlando Florida, so as to not take away from any of the Orlando “thunder”.

However, the more I thought about it, the more silly that idea seemed. Orlando is rocking out no matter what.

At the same time, tickets have already been selling for London*, and I can only hold the prices at mega early bird rates for so long.

*I announced London to Stockholm attendees a short while ago.

Why London?

Well, I’ve actually thought for some time now about The 21 Convention 2011 (Europe). I remember the thought first crossing my mind on my transatlantic flight to … well technically, and ironically, London, where I had a four hour lay over to Stockholm in early May.

The idea was exciting, but at the time, very little attention could be allotted to it. My eyes were on Stockholm and Stockholm alone (not counting the beautiful Swedish women, of course).

However, on my tour throughout Europe to promote the Stockholm convention, I began to give the idea some more thought by keeping it in the back of my mind, specifically, which city it should be held in.

Out of all the cities I traveled to while on my speaking tour, Amsterdam stuck out the most to me as a potential 2011 location.

For one, an amazing convention called the Real Man Conference had been held there a few years back, and bar none, it was the biggest event this “community” has ever seen.

What’s more, the locals I met while in Amsterdam, were really cool people, and very supportive of The 21 Convention, much like in Stockholm and elsewhere around Europe.

And perhaps above all, Amsterdam is a pretty unique city, that I’m sure a lot of people want to visit almost regardless of any event being held there.

+3 for Amsterdam

Yet, here I am announcing the convention in London – a city I spent less than 5 hours in on my way to Sweden for the 2010 convention.

What gives?

My nose.

Uhhhh…. what?

Yep, my nose.

Over the years I have done my best to use my brain – my logic, my reason – for hosting this convention. When times get tough, rather than bitch and moan, I think.

And that usually works, but not always.

Sometimes I simply have to go with my gut, or, “follow my nose”. This works best when times are especially tough. When people like to tell me to “back off”, “get realistic”, “slow down”, and more or less conform to the invisible rules of the world, set by no one, and observed by nearly everyone.

Well, sometimes these people are right, and I need to calm myself down. But other times, it’s time to say fuck the rules, and make my own as I go along – which perhaps, in part, is what this convention has been about since the very beginning.

This type of action results in all sorts of fun. For example, this spawned The 21 Convention 2007 when people were screaming for me not to host it.

To back off, and let someone “more qualified” do it.

Hmmm …

Making my own rules also led me over 4,000 miles across the Atlantic to host our first ever convention in Europe.

A lot of people told me not to go, to play it safe, etc …

Well, that turned out to be one of the most profound moves of my life, and seemingly this convention’s as well (if we can be so generous as to view it under an individualistic light).

Hmmm …

Point is, using my head has it’s advantages – when used appropiately and during the right span of time – but sometimes you just have to do things in the spite of overwhelming odds.

Fortunately, we have the best of both worlds when it comes to London.

For one, my gut says “London”. I don’t know how else to explain it. I simply SEE this convention happening in London next year – almost literally if I sit back and try to envision it.

Perhaps more importantly, if we take a step back and look at the bigger picture … there are so many potential speakers in the United Kingdom, and so many people I’ve spoken with over the years from there it’s astounding.

Fans of the convention, readers of my blog, family, friends … even e-mails from people coming from the far reaches of the internet, the list is endless.

London has another really important factor going for it as well … ready for it?

The city of London drives more traffic to this site than any other city on the planet. In fact, it drives more traffic than the next three cities combined.

It’s ridiculous. London is just this giant, fat dot on the Google Analytics map.

And so what? People in London watch the free videos. Big deal.

Well, here’s the interesting part – we’ve never hosted The 21 Convention in a city that has significant traffic to the web site. As such – and this is probably news to some – we’ve never had a significant local turn out for an event.

This is totally, 100%, grade A backwards from every other convention in history, that was in any way related to “the community”. The local turn out is always massive, and then you have some guys fly in from far off places.

Not so with The 21 Convention. In both Orlando and Stockholm, the bulk of people who attend fly in from all over the place. And by bulk I mean like 90%.

Well, I’d like to change that.

Why?

It’s my dream to bring this convention to it’s fullest potential, and I don’t believe it’s there yet. Part of that potential is bringing in hundreds if not thousands of people for the convention – be it in Florida, Europe, elsewhere, or everywhere.

In doing so, this frees up a lot of financial wiggle room for the event, while keeping the ticket prices lean and accurate for what you guys are willing to pay.

Financial wiggle room means more ability for cool projects like The Community Tapes, and more bonuses for attendees – like an inclusive dinner after the event.

Perhaps more importantly, lots of people, and more financial wiggle room, gets us in the ball park for some seriously bad ass speakers.

People tell me I’m nuts, but I think this is the event for guys like David Deida – author of The Way of the Superior Man.

People tell me I’m nuts, but I think this is the event for guys like Tim Ferris. (Not to mention he included me in the revised edition of The Four Hour Work Week – come on Tim, where’s the love?).

People tell me I’m nuts, but why should we stop there? Why? Why can’t Anthony Robbins speak at The 21 Convention?

Seems like a pretty successful dude to me, with great ideas to share, don’t you think?

So, people tell me I’m nuts, and I ignore them, while pressing on, sincerely believe these guys not only would speak under the right circumstances at the event, but belong there. THIS is the outlet for them to reach new audiences, and connect in new ways.

Just gotta get on their radar a bit more. Being able to cover their flight and hotel expenses helps for sure, which becomes a reality with higher attendance. Just gotta make it happen!

Details

If you’ve read this far, you’re probably wondering about more specific details for the event. Well, here they are, as they currently stand.

Dates: June 1st-5th 2011

June 1st will be a meet and greet as we are doing here in Orlando this year. The main event will begin Thursday June 2nd, and run until Sunday June 5th – a full four days.

Location: London, England, United Kingdom (think I wrote that right)

A final conference room will be decided on this Fall after speaking with some locals and negotiating with various conference centers and hotels.

Potential speakers?

Yikes, this is going to be a long list.

Anthony ‘Dream’ Johnson (that’s me)

Dharam (2010 convention speaker, Pua Training Master Instructor)

Jared ‘Ratisse’ (multi-year convention speaker)

Dejan ‘Zebra’ (multi-year convention speaker)

Vince Kelvin (2010 convention speaker, founder: Pua Summit)

Richard ‘Gambler’ La Ruina (2010 speaker, founder: Pua Training)

London Keychain (Love Systems)

Jeremy Soul (Love Systems)

Frederik “Satisfaction” (2010 speaker)

Alex May

Neil Natura

Smooth Doc (2010 speaker, founder: Real Man Conference)

Dj Fuji (multi year convention speaker)

Andy Yosha (Pua Training Master Instructor, founder: DayGame.com)

Tynan Smith (also known as ‘Herbal’ from The NY Times #1 Bestseller The Game)

Dodger ‘Hshudo’ (multi year convention speaker)

Steve “El Topo” Mayeda (multi year convention speaker)

Orlando Owen (2010 convention speaker)

Keiza Noble

And the list could go on, and on, and on … and these are only (well mostly) people that would speak about dating, relationships, sex, and so forth.

I will also be inviting people to speak on topics outside of the ones listed, opening up a whole new can of worms as it has here in Florida.

Anything else I should know?

Yep. I plan on doing a speaking tour around Europe once again to help get the word out about the convention. Most likely in late April/early May. If you would like me and potentially some other speakers to come to your city, please shoot me an e-mail at Dream@The21Convention.com with “London Tour” in the subject heading.

Beyond that, know that I now have the experience of four conventions under my belt – nearly five – and I am no longer a newbie to Europe.

This is the world’s #1 men’s convention, and I intend to put my money where my mouth is next June in London, the online heart beat of The 21 Convention.

Tickets are already on sale, and 2010 Stockholm attendees have already signed up. You can reserve your seat below, and join the Facebook event here.

The cost to attend The 21 Convention in London will be £ 500 if you do not sign up online beforehand.

If you sign up by July 18th 2010 the cost is only £ 150, which is the most inexpensive a ticket will ever be for the event.

This may sound like semantics, but the door price to the event is the real and final price. Purchasing your ticket online saves you money. Buying in advance saves you even more, and at the same time, allows us to track attendance for the event, calculate budgets, etc.

It’s a win/win, and I hope more people take advantage of it this year rather than waiting till the last minute.

That’s all for now guys. See you next Spring, and see you in London.

-Anthony ‘Dream’ Johnson

A few weeks ago I agreed to do an interview with Rob Judge of TSB Magazine.
Check out a local TV interview I had a while back as well, on a TV show hosted by The 21 Convention’s one and only Peter Murphy.

An interview with the Central Florida Future can be found here as well.

After suffering a severe bicep injury while strength training, Bill DeSimone took it upon himself to look where few personal trainers and fitness “gurus” have before – anatomy, physiology, and bio-mechanical text books. What he found was simple, yet profound: many popular exercises thought to be “safe” and “effective” were in fact in direction contradiction with proper muscle and joint function as the science geeks would have it.

The result of this discovery was the Moment Arm Exercise manual that took the internet by storm. At this point Bill is arguably the world’s leading authority on the often overlooked yet critical bio-mechanics of exercise, which when used to your advantage, can dramatically increase the safety and effectiveness of your workouts – now and for the long haul.
