FAQ
What is The 21 Convention?
-Please see this page.
Who started the convention?
- Anthony “Dream” Johnson in July of 2006 (the first event taking place roughly a year later).
What topics are covered at the convention?
- The primary focus of the convention has always been dating and relationship advice, however the range of topics expands each year. It now officially includes lifestyle design, proper exercise, and the latest on proper nutrition.
How does The 21 Convention stack up against other events?
- There are no other annual events like The 21 Convention, so it has nothing to stack up against =).
I have a really specific problem with women, will I be able to find the answer at this event?
Remember, it’s reallllly specific to me.
- The 21 Convention is home to a collection of the best dating instructors in the world. If you can’t find it here, you aren’t asking the right questions. However, it’s good practice to remember that most problems are NOT specific- they are universal. If you have a quirky problem with women, chances are someone else at the event does as well.
Why is the footage free every year?
- Dream (the founder) has decided that an event like this SHOULD be free to the world- not unlike TED.com. The advice given is meant to be shared with as many people as possible, and the footage being free (instead of costly like other video products) is the best way to accomplish that by a long shot. Advanced services like Vimeo.com also make this possible from a financial standpoint.
I really appreciate the convention, the footage, and so forth. How can I help out and give back?
-The best thing you can do is show up and attend LIVE (you can also buy Dream some lunch while you’re at it!). However not everyone can make it, so the next best step is to donate. Sharing the footage via social media like Twitter, Facebook, Digg, and so forth is also a great way to help the convention (getting better with women is NOT something to be shoned, help a friend out by sending him your favorite video). Finally, just be active and participate in our community. Simple as that.
