I can’t speak directly for Dj Fuji, but I’m sure he would still very strongly recommend you attend the convention even though he won’t be there.
It will be an awesome experience and I seriously doubt you will be the least bit disappointed.

I recommend finding a friend to go and then purchasing a silver ticket (which you both can split, netting the best price on getting into the full event).
