Hey Anthony,

I'd like to adress the initial question of how can we help, by sharing an idea I had last night. I've been a follower of your blog and this site for I guess about a year now, and I'm on the same page. Spreading your information is something I already do (maybe I'll do some more now with this post...) but I'd like to help in another way.

k...

First.... I'd like you to imagine a first time user haphazardly coming to this site or to your blog. And forgive me if I'm being harsh, but there's a point I'll get to. He might think to himself: "cool free footage... wow 2 hours long each... ok... what else is there... some blog posts... meh, blogs are usually pretty boring... meh...a forum... ok....next.... "

... and like just that, the A.D.D. websurfer is gone forever...

Now, take a look at what is typically popular on the web. Go to askmen.com for example. A user is bombarded with little articles about every topic he could imagine. It’s not just lectures that appear once a year and blog posts. It's little shot gun bullets of info that’s easy to digest and find. I mean the info is mostly lousy, cluttered, redundant, and always wreaking of conventional knowledge - but at least the user won't get bored or lost, because the content is split into bite size chunks.

Anthony, you talk about "the free exchange of ideas". Your philosophy is: "young men (and women) coming together, that are fed up with the status quo they see – be it within themselves, the world around them, or both – and doing something about it".

I love and live those principals, but I'm like the guy asking "how can I help?" and I want to help by contributing and exchanging my ideas, opinions and personal research; not just by spreading the word. I mean, I could, and I do post on comments and the forum sometimes, but for me that's a limited outlet. I'd like to do more and make this movement snow ball to a new level - and bring to life this 'guys helping guys - no bullshit, agendas, ignorance, assumptions' phenomenon that the internet desperately craves.

My idea:

I think you should have an organized method to receive and publish high quality contents from users on this site.

For example we could have a section on this site where you and users can post topics that they would like content on. Then an administrator could assign content writing based on who volunteers. The writer would then have a few weeks to write an article or make a video about it.

There would be guidlines and requirements for posts, like number of words, required orginal video time, and original pictures. It would have to reviewed and accepted according to quality standards, etc. before being made public.

Topics would range about everything that guys need to talk about and get educated on, as opposed to topics you bring up on your posts every now and then. We would naturally get opposing viewpoints and ideas, but that’s the best part of the free exchange of ideas – and it would foster motivation to really back up what you say.

Off the top of my head – content would be, I don't know... ‘how I tenderize cheap shoulder cuts of beef’ or ‘live-video of my favorite approach method’ or ‘how to avoid razor burn when shaving’ or ‘how to shop for paleo food’ or ‘the best workout routine’ or ‘how I practice EMF with tapping’ or ‘why I don’t eat wheat’ or ‘why I do eat wheat’ or ‘why I think communism is best for the world’ or ‘ways to defeat procastination’ or ‘how to properly install a carburetor’ or ‘how to register a small business’ or ‘how to shop for a laptop’... the possibilities are really endless.

In a few months we’d have a library of high quality nuggets of unconventional wisdom and you could separate them into sections like exercise, nutrition, dating, relationships, politics, personal development, business, entrepreneurialship, how to’s, science, technology... etc...and of course all free to the world....

I guess it would be like reddit meets ted... where users submit content – but the quality and quantity are strictly controlled.

Think of it this way. Many of us are really interested in sharing ideas, and that's why blogs are so popular. But the odds of your blog taking off is almost nil and it requires weekly postings and tends to be filled with minutia before anyone reads it. And content that is good is scattered everywhere.

I’d love to have a place where I could submit content, and instead be guaranteed several hundred, if not thousands of views; plus comments... A lot of us share your enthusiasm for info sharing, but lack the venue to do it. The world doesn't need more individual blogs - we need to concentrate ideas and content into one place.

and you said it yourself "The 21 Convention has outgrown me personally, and that I am merely playing catch up with something I can hardly begin to grasp"... i'm, and an army of followers, are ready to help tame this beast

what do you think...
