As most, but not all of you reading this know, ‘we’ have been working on a documentary since the Fall of 2009.
I’ve talked about it plenty since, and offered quite a few details/updates in the process. But what’s the final verdict?
- When is it releasing?
- What is it about?
- What is the title?
- It’s is a collective piece or has it evolved into an entire series?
- Will it continue?
All those questions answered today, and more =).
When is it releasing?
I’ll cut right to the chase, and the most pressing question I get asked – when is it releasing?
Ready for it?
Soon.
…
…
…
Alright I’m totally kidding. It will begin releasing, next weekend – Sunday evening EST most likely. That’s right, the last weekend of April, many weeks ahead of when I had hoped (much thanks to our video production company).
Now, I say ‘begin’, because of the answer to the next question.
Is it a collective piece or a series?
Perhaps obviously now that I’m hypothetically asking myself, yes, it has become an entire series, and is no longer a collective piece.
Due to the fact that it is literally now a series and not one collective film of sorts, it will take multiple weeks to distribute – and hence it will only begin releasing next weekend. We will then, more than likely (but not absolutely) release one episode per weekend – much like a TV show.
Why has it become a series of episodes? Is this truly a better option?
Most defintely. It wasn’t easy to make the decision of course – like the majority of choices I am presented with for The 21 Convention – but I hunkered down, and made the call.
And I have to say, I am quite pleased with my decision as we put the final touches and polish on Volume 1 of this documentary series.
Why?
Well, like I’ve talked about elsewhere, I am constantly looking for the win/win with this convention – with this movement.
Now, with regards to last year’s profits (all of which, and more, have gone to this production), I thought – what could their best use be?
What could I do with them, that would really have an impact on my generation (however big or small), in line with The 21 Convention, that would further perpetuate the apparent snowball effect this convention is experiencing.
Long story short I decided on doing a full length documentary. And as we’ve discussed, that ultimately evolved into a documentary series – out of necessity.
“Necessary” because there was so much content and power in what was said during the interviews, that we couldn’t fathom cutting the interviewees short in the editing phase.
No bullshit, what these guys said, completely on their own accord, is collectively astounding. It really is that awesome, and I am that excited to share this series with the world, beginning next week with the one and only, Dj Fuji.
What is the title?
Well, as you probably guessed by the above picture, “The Community Tapes”. Now, what does that mean and signify?
Honestly, I’m leaving it up to you the viewer. The Community Tapes are so frikin powerful, that trying to smack a label on them and box them up, is almost an insult. They really are THAT good – and this has become ever more apparent the more we work on them and fine tune everything.
With that said, The Community Tapes came closest to what we had to look for, out of necessity, as we couldn’t just call this a “documentary series” and be done with it – as The 21 Convention is only a small aspect of the entire series.
It would actually be accurate to say that The Community Tapes are literally a production of The 21 Convention LLC – the same way LionsGate Entertainment produces a variety of movies. The ‘tapes’, and what is said on them, is independent at the core.
All that said, in a generation starved for truth, with a resulting community (formerly?) dedicated to finding truth in one specific area of a man’s life – “The Community Tapes” really isn’t that far off of a descriptive title, and I think most who watch them will find the title every bit as fitting as I have.
Will it continue?
I’m tentatively calling this first run of episodes “Volume 1”, so yes, we have every intention of following up in the months and years to come with new interviews, new ideas, and so forth. It depends on how viral these go though.
I’m expecting them to be a bigger hit than anything we’ve ever released or done before
– but that is all speculation until all is said and done.
I have faith though. The things being said in these ‘tapes’, are not being said anywhere else, in this medium, and this raw. They really are unique in this sense, and I would not be surprised to see most or all of them “blow up” on the web.
They are that good.
What are “The Community Tapes” about?
Ultimately, you’re just going to have to watch them. I’m sorry, it’s that simple, and even I am not awesome enough to summarize what is so powerful a message into a few short lines of text
.
But hey, I can try!
The Community Tapes (Vol. 1) are a collection of top authorities in their respective fields – as well as a 3 year attendee of The 21 Convention.
Now, I think what’s most interesting, is that we are seeing a new side of these individuals, that we normally don’t even get a glimpse of while they are on stage at The 21 Convention, or elsewhere. In this sense, it’s a whole new lens revealing ideas that are often considered so taboo, they are hardly even uttered, let alone discussed in depth, and with little or no hesitation.
Virtually everyone interviewed says things that are going to send ideological shock waves over the internet. From the feminization of western society (and the evolution of “the community”), to a pressing sense of entitlement in the younger generation, and looming health problems that the people of The United States face – it’s all here, and then some.

Stay tuned, and be sure to check out all of the released teaser clips below (with one, maybe two more to come).
Other thoughts
Some other quick thoughts I wanted to address before the release.
1. Yes, all of these will be free in streaming high definition.
2. It is likely these will released on DVD at some point, but closer to the coming live events, not right now – now is time for event footage on DVD =)
3. Other than Dj Fuji being first, I will not be announcing the release schedule before each episodes actual release.
4. This documentary series will be getting it’s own category on The21Convention.com, all the same as a full year’s worth of footage. Make no mistake – this is big, as big as it gets.
Get ready for it.
