And what does not seem to be addressed in this talk is the point that women are often said to be attracted to the set of circumstances of a given encounter along with the person who they interact with.

I remember this one case where I was almost ignored by this girl I started talking to at a club, but when it turned out we had a mutual friend present, her face changed immediately.

Therefore, I feel like even if a girl is attracted to you, she may not realize this until issues of HER PERSONAL SECURITY are properly satisfied. It is like a bias based on fear. I had many cases where the friends I made were originally really weird or creepy seeming people. After talking to them, they turned out to be really cool and we built great trusting relationships.

This attraction principle is a brilliant notion which I was really missing from so many other discussions. The point conveyed is essentially "you cannot force attraction". It is emphasized that you should really be talking to everyone and pay attention to those people who are into you.

MY Question is the Flip: How can you be sure YOU are into someone. There are some women that I am immediately attracted to or not, but for the most part, I have this crazy feeling of DOUBT. Basically I have to look these women over a few more times. The outcome is that I may be into them or sometimes not.

I feel there is some internal hidden processing going on which I have not picked apart yet and it is a bit frustrating, because I feel it keeps me from approaching women. If I don't know how I feel about them, then I do not know whether to look for attraction or just for a friend. I have ended up going in 'ambivalent' many times without showing my attraction long into the interaction and eventually seeing the girl lose interest because of this.
